Story-wise, it’s a good thing the makers decided to show the foolhardy part of Magne when he realises that he’s a god that the titans sweat. Being proud is one thing, but pride can beget a lot of damage. still, the process of his realisation of this is n’t as satisfying as his getting prideful, and further could have been explored from this angle. The relationship between Laurits and his serpent has been a plus for the show, albeit I do miss further exchanges between the two as they would have shown Laurits ’ vulnerable side. After all, he’s the serpent’s “ mammy ” which points towards Loki’s gender- fluid bow.
We do n’t get to see important action, which I tête-à-tête missed a lot as well. But considering the show’s take on Ragnarok, I suppose that they’ve done a good job of giving the war a predicated POV that feels more microcosmic than macrocosmic and suits the show really well. Edda is at peace, and the events of Ragnarok did not take place anywhere besides Magne’s mind.

The Comics Why Did Magne Come Thor?
Throughout the show, we can see two distinctive personalities in Magne. One is a council boy with a strong heart who wants to do the right thing in the right way. But this Magne isn’t strong enough to put up a fight against the “ mammoth ” industrials who have absolute power in Edda. So, he imagined a Magne who’s more important than the rich people, which is a god. ridiculous books, novels, or any kind of fantasy literature can be seen as a tool to produce a reality that suits our stylish interests. In Magne’s case, he started to imagine himself as Young Thor, like the superhero that he read about in his ridiculous books.
